SHF Website & Social Identity
Project Goal
Sisters’ Hope Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to ALSP support, awareness and cure, needed a new website that elevated their identity as a hub for community expert resources and publications. The goal was to foster meaningful communication with community members and encourage registration to the knowledge base, facilitating the collection of valuable community insights. Additionally, the knowledge base would enable their team to manage access to critical resources effectively.
Challenge
Their old website was filled with important information that was scattered and not organized to communicate effectively to their community members. Their team faced the challenge of maintaining an easily updatable website without the complexities of coding.
Solution
In close collaboration with their team, I engaged in discussions to grasp the specific needs of individuals seeking assistance with ALSP. Through these conversations, we identified key community members, including patients, caregivers, families, supporters, clinicians, and researchers. I then meticulously reviewed the old website’s pages and developed wireframes to guide each persona toward accessing the necessary information.
Having previously directed their social media rebranding, we seamlessly integrated their new color schemes and graphics into the website, fostering a cohesive brand identity online. While the social media platforms aimed to captivate and creatively disseminate information, we opted for a minimalist and professional website design to facilitate easy comprehension of the content. Furthermore, we implemented language interpretation and accessibility tools to ensure the website’s inclusivity and accessibility to all individuals in need.
